LEGO Masters Academy at one: choosing your kind of building challenge
A year after its Billund opening, the TV-inspired experience offers three levels and a useful question: how do you want to build together?

From watching builders to joining the table
For LEGO Masters fans, part of the pleasure is watching someone discover a solution in a pile of bricks. LEGO Masters Academy brings a version of that creative setting to LEGO House in Billund. It opened on September 17, 2025, with a studio-inspired environment and guided building sessions.
Just over a year later, the interesting visitor question is which experience will suit the people at your table. A confident adult collector and a child who loves inventing creatures can both enjoy LEGO without wanting the same challenge. Treating that difference as a useful starting point makes planning the visit more inviting.
Three levels, three starting points
LEGO House’s September 2026 anniversary update reports more than 700 Academy sessions during its first year. It describes three levels: Splash into the Bricks, Build Me Up, and aROUND the Bricks We Go. Level 2 has been the most popular, while Level 3 offers the most advanced challenges. Play Agents guide the activities, and participants can take their creations home.
Our advice is to choose by the experience you want rather than treating the level number as a score. A playful session can be a good choice for experienced builders sharing an activity with family. A more challenging session may appeal when everyone is keen to concentrate on new techniques.
What the introductory session adds
Level 1 joined the Academy in February 2026. Its launch description outlines a 60-minute experience with English and Danish sessions, playful creatures and moving constructions, including activities involving spinners and catapults. Individual building stations sit alongside shared challenges.
That combination suggests a practical way to approach the session: leave room for your own experiments while paying attention to the solutions taking shape nearby. For a group with mixed confidence, a small working mechanism can provide an accessible subject to discuss. What changed when a part moved? Which version was easiest to understand? Those are our suggested conversation starters, not a description of a fixed lesson script.
Plan around the actual session
Use the official booking page to check available dates, session language, participation conditions and the ticket combination needed for your visit. The Academy is a separately bookable experience; an old launch announcement should not be used as a current timetable.
Allow some breathing room around the reservation, especially if the day also includes exploring LEGO House. This is a source-based planning guide, not a report of our own visit. Its appeal for the LEGO Masters community is straightforward: an opportunity to move from admiring other people’s ideas to making something together, with a creation to carry home.
