The new LEGO Executor asks a wonderfully big shelf question

A ship that sets its own scale

LEGO Star Wars Executor Super Star Destroyer, set 75457, is announced at 6,130 pieces and approximately 136 centimeters long, 50 wide and 20 high. Its display weight exceeds five kilograms. The October 1, 2026 release carries an announced US price of $799.99. Those figures make display planning part of the purchase decision, rather than something to solve after opening the last bag.

Give the silhouette room

The ship’s long wedge is the visual subject. A shelf crowded with other models may hide the very shape that makes it recognizable. Our suggestion is to measure the available space, then mark the outline with paper before committing to a position. Check depth as carefully as length, and use furniture with an appropriate load rating.

Think about the viewing angle too. A high shelf can emphasize the underside while concealing the upper surface. A lower position may make the ship easier to appreciate, but it also needs protection from passing elbows and pets. The right location is one where you can see and safely reach it.

Two ways into the same story

LEGO includes a small companion Star Destroyer to communicate scale and a separate minifigure bridge scene with seven characters, including Darth Vader. That separation solves an interesting storytelling problem. The main vessel can preserve its proportions while the character scene gives the viewer something familiar to read.

You can borrow that approach for your own models. A tiny railway landscape might sit beside a small station interior; a distant city skyline could have one room enlarged nearby. Label the relationship clearly and each scale can do the job it does best.

A preview, with practical questions

The reveal describes a System core supported by Technic outriggers. We have not built or handled this set, so we cannot judge assembly comfort or moving stability. Those are important questions for a future review.

For now, focus on whether the model fits the way you enjoy collecting. If you like studying a single silhouette and its surface detail, the format offers plenty to consider. If you often rearrange a collection, plan the route between building table and display first. A spectacular model is easier to enjoy when its permanent home is ready.
