Christopher and Robert’s LEGO Masters adventure lives on in Travel Moments
A look at how a winning television build became a model families can make their own.

A winning idea with a life beyond television
For LEGO Masters fans, Travel Moments is an unusually tangible piece of the show’s history. LEGO’s official series page credits Season 4 winners Christopher and Robert with working alongside its designers on a retail model inspired by their finale build. It also offers a behind-the-scenes feature about their experience in Billund.
That gives this set a reason to revisit long after the result stopped being a spoiler. It connects the people at the competition table with something other builders can assemble, adapt and discuss at home. This is a source-based retrospective, rather than a hands-on review or a new interview with the winners.
What made it into the box
Travel Moments, set 41838, combines a world map with the World Wonderliner aircraft. LEGO lists 1,231 pieces, five instruction booklets, four smaller vehicles, 20 location tiles and 10 photo holders. The design invites builders to mark journeys and add personal photographs.
Those holders are an especially interesting choice. A finished model can include memories that were never part of the designers’ original story. In our reading, that makes it closer to a shared scrapbook than a fixed souvenir of a television episode.
A different way to celebrate the builders
When we talk about a competition winner’s legacy, it is easy to focus only on the trophy or the size of the final creation. Here, the more interesting question is what survives when an ambitious idea reaches someone else’s table. A travel theme gives that new owner a clear starting point without prescribing which places should matter.
For a family evening, our suggestion is to let each participant choose one memory before building begins. A nearby day trip deserves a place alongside an overseas holiday. Invite everyone to explain their choice while the sections come together; the conversation can become part of the display’s meaning.
Revisit the story before shopping
Start with LEGO’s creator feature, then look at the official model photographs and instructions to decide whether its format suits your space. On September 25, 2026, the U.S. product page displayed a sold-out notice; stock can differ by region. We are not presenting an old launch announcement as a new release.
The enduring appeal is the connection to Christopher and Robert’s achievement. Their televised idea became a starting point for other people’s stories, and that is a particularly welcome way for the LEGO Masters community to reach beyond the screen.
